Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology is a business area in the Sandvik Group and leading supplier of equipment and tools, service, support and technical solutions for the mining industry and niches such as quarrying, tunneling, demolition, dimensional stone, recycling and civil engineering industry. Product Area Load & Haul’s Turku plant is a global technology and manufacturing center for loading & hauling equipment for mining and construction industries. The Material Management team within Supply organization is now looking for a professional and proactive Purchaser.
Key performance areas You are responsible of effective operative purchasing and co-operation with designated suppliers. Main tasks are operative purchasing, delivery management, inventory management and development of related processes. Suppliers are located in Finland as well as abroad. Daily communication with various internal and external stakeholders is an essential part of the job.
Your profile You have preferably technical educational background (Engineer or Master of Science). You like to work independently, as well as a member of the team. Earlier practical experience on purchasing and ERP-systems are required in this job. Solution-focused mindset and good interpersonal and negotiation skills are required to be successful in this job. Your way of working is systematic and well organized and remains also under pressure. The ability to speak and write fluently in English and Finnish is required in this job. The willingness to travel is expected but the number of travel is not significant.
